Rise & Shine Learning Center offers quality childcare services for children age birth through five years old. We offer an educational program where children may grow intellectually, as well as socially, physically, and emotionally. We hope to share with you the value of play and the importance of what your child is learning. We would like you to discuss with us at any time the program goals selected for your child. Together we can help your child develop his/her full human potential. If you ever have any questions or concerns please stop by the office to speak with the administration. We are an "Open Door" policy center where no concern is too small! Center to parent communication is a very important aspect of a quality childcare program. Our center takes pride in its communication plan, which includes the following components:
- A warm welcome each time you come to our center
- Time for informal conversations at drop off and pick up times
- Bulletin board displays of lesson plans, resources and "news you can use"
- Daily classroom reports
- Monthly classroom calendars
- Monthly center newsletters
- Parent/Teacher conferences offered twice a year, or whenever requested
- Annual program evaluations
Staff are scheduled to work hours that will allow parents an opportunity to visit with teachers on a daily basis. It is important to inform the staff of changes and events in your child's life so they can be more effective in responding to and meeting his or her needs. A bulletin board is located in the hall next to your child's classroom. Please check your child's board daily for important information and papers. Your child also has a small cubby area in the classroom with his or her name on it. This is where your child's coat and belongings can be kept. A file crate with your child's name on the folder is located inside the room. Please check it daily so you may take any newsletters or papers home. Each classroom writes monthly "Critter Corner" newsletters, which include unit topics; class activities, field trips and suggestions for parents and are put in your child's file.
If there happens to be a situation that is going on with your child you are welcome to come and observe on camera.
Early Childhood experience is very important today. It offers children their first experience outside the home to interact with others. This is also a time for children to learn more important readiness skills that lead to their academic success and personal growth. The center will provide a warm and caring environment for each child. The program is a flexible one geared toward nurturing social, emotional, motor, cognitive, and language development. We believe that all children have the ability to learn. Each child should be respected and given ample opportunities to make choices, solve problems, and become independent thinkers. The preschool environment should provide a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment so that every child will reach his or her full potential, and will prepare them for success in Kindergarten. We also believe that family involvement is essential in the success of each child's education.
When the child is enrolled they are automatically placed in an educational program. Our program is designed to facilitate the overall development of the child. During the child's time at the center they will encounter both individualized and group instruction, which is appropriate for his/her developmental level.
